Community Reassurance Patrols

Today, your Safer Neighbourhood Team carried out reassurance patrols across the ward, including engagement with local faith communities.

Officers spoke with community members, listened to concerns, and provided reassurance as part of our ongoing commitment to making everyone feel safe and supported.

Building positive relationships with all sections of our community helps us understand local priorities and work together to address concerns.

Hatred and violence have no place in our city. 

When someone is assaulted or abused due to their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or whether they are transgender, then a hate crime may have occurred, and you should report this to the police. 

We are committed to a Met that is completely anti-discriminatory and treats all Londoners fairly – policing without fear or favour.

We have recently announced the launch of our brand-new Community Protection Teams, bringing together neighbourhood, specialist and counter terrorism officers together to tackle hate in all of its forms.
