Two charged and drugs seized after series of warrants executed in Hambleton Two people have been charged with drugs offences after officers executed three warrants as part of a lengthy investigation into suspected drug supply in the Hambleton area.
On Thursday 16 July, officers from Hambleton Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Operation Sentry team executed three warrants at addresses in Great Ayton and Guisborough in Redcar and Cleveland, with support from the British Transport Police County Lines Task Force and Cleveland Police.
During the operation, officers recovered weapons from one property in Great Ayton and a small quantity of drugs from another. At the Guisborough address, a large quantity of suspected Class-A drugs were seized.
A 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class-A drugs, being concerned in the supply of Class-B drugs, and possession with intent to supply Class-A drugs. Following their arrests, they were interviewed and subsequently charged. Both were remanded into custody and appeared at York Magistrates’ Court on Friday 17 July, where they were released on conditional bail until their next appearance at Teesside Crown Court on Friday 14 August.
