Bardon Beat – Weekly Priorities Update
Here’s an update on the work we’ve been carrying out in response to your local policing priorities.
1.Speeding
Officers have continued to carry out patrols across local villages. Further speed enforcement operations are planned over the coming weeks to help improve road safety and deter speeding.
2. HGVs Breaching the Weight Limit – Ellistown, Ibstock & Heather
High-visibility patrols have been conducted throughout all of the villages in relation to reports of HGVs breaching the weight restrictions.
During these patrols, all HGVs observed were using the routes lawfully.
Following ongoing enquiries, a business located on Victoria Road, Ellistown, has been issued with a Community Protection Notice Warning (CPNW) in relation to concerns raised.
3. Anti-Social Behaviour – Agar Nook & Greenhill
Officers have carried out numerous patrols throughout both daytime and evening shifts in response to reports of anti-social behaviour.
During these patrols:
• Words of advice were given to two youths regarding the illegal use of e-scooters on public land.
• An ASB report has been created following reports of youths entering Bardon Quarry and throwing items at vehicles and members of staff. Patrols will continue as we work to identify those responsible.
