SNT Supports George Lane Summer Festival

Yesterday, officers from Barkingside and Fairlop Safer Neighbourhood Teams attended the George Lane Summer Festival, engaging with residents, local businesses and event organisers throughout the day.

It was a pleasure to meet and speak with Deputy Mayor of the London Borough of Redbridge, Sayda, and event organiser Rena, discussing the event and the importance of community engagement.

High-visibility foot patrols were carried out across the festival area, providing reassurance and opportunities for residents to engage directly with their local neighbourhood officers.

Officers also visited a number of stall holders and local exhibitors. No concerns or issues were raised, and feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Residents, traders and organisers expressed their appreciation for the visible police presence and the opportunity to discuss local community matters with officers.

Barkingside and Fairlop SNT remain committed to supporting local community events, strengthening relationships with residents and ensuring our neighbourhoods remain safe, welcoming and well-supported.
