Dagenham | Working Together for a Safer Community

The latest Neighbourhood Policing Day of Action across Dagenham showcased strong partnership working between the Metropolitan Police Service, the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Council, and the London Fire Brigade.

The day focused on increasing police visibility, engaging with local residents, supporting crime prevention initiatives, and tackling anti-social behaviour across the borough.

Residents may have seen officers patrolling The Heathway, Parsloes Park and surrounding neighbourhoods, providing additional opportunities to speak directly with local officers and raise community concerns.

Despite the hot weather, our Crime Prevention Gazebo engaged with approximately 63 local residents, offering crime prevention advice, personal safety guidance, and information on protecting homes and property.

Activity Throughout the Day

✅ Early-morning operations to locate and arrest wanted offenders.

✅ Arrest made at The Heathway Station in connection with a number of offences, including assault.

✅ Enquiries carried out relating to an incident in Parsloes Park.

✅ High-visibility patrols conducted to deter robbery and anti-social behaviour.

✅ Reassurance patrols and community engagement within local residential areas.

✅ Community concerns and local priorities identified and referred to appropriate partner agencies for follow-up action.
