General Update |

Good Afternoon,
We would like to make you aware of a number of recent burglaries, thefts from motor vehicles, and thefts of motor vehicles that have occurred within our ward.
Whilst there has not been any significant increase compared with previous months, we recognise that this remains an area of concern and one where we are keen to support ongoing investigations and help ensure that residents continue to feel safe within their communities.
We have received reports of burglaries and attempted burglaries occurring during the daytime, so we would encourage all residents to ensure that their homes and vehicles are secure whenever they are unattended. Simple measures such as locking doors and windows, securing valuables out of sight, and checking vehicle security can help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime.
To assist our colleagues investigating these offences, we will be making greater use of this platform by sending requests for CCTV footage and appealing for witnesses when incidents occur. We believe this will be an effective way of engaging with the community, gathering evidence more quickly, and identifying additional lines of enquiry.
As we have not routinely used this platform in this way before, you may receive some requests relating to incidents that occurred in recent weeks. However, we are confident that this approach will help to progress investigations more efficiently and increase opportunities to identify suspects and witnesses.
If you know of any neighbours, friends, family members, or colleagues who reside on Frognal and have CCTV cameras, or who would benefit from signing up to this platform, please encourage them to join. The more people we are able to communicate with, the greater the opportunities to obtain vital evidence, identify witnesses, and carry out effective and timely investigations. Increased community engagement helps us conduct more effective investigations and ultimately supports our efforts to keep the area safe.
We appreciate your continued support and cooperation. If you have any information that may assist police investigations, please contact a member of our team or report it via 101, online through the Met Police website, or by calling 999 in an emergency.
Kind regards
Treve Beckerleg 1406CN Acting Police Sergeant Frognal Ward | ||
