Newstead Day of Action - Tuesday 21st July 2026 Tomorrow, members of the Local Council and Staffs Police will be conducting some activities in the location of Newstead, Blurton in an increased effort to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour and Crime in the area. These include: Mobile Police Station - This will be manned by members of the neighbourhood team from Longton Police Station and will be located near to the Morrisons Daily shop on Wimborne Avenue until 4p.m.Sweep of Nearby Park - To ensure the safety of all those that use the park, we will be conducting a sweep and removing any items that should not be found in a public space.Leaflet Distribution - We have recently noticed a spike in Anti-Social Behaviour calls regarding Nuisance Bikes on the estate and so we will be distributing leaflets to ensure everyone in the area is aware how to report these issues to assist us further with tackling the issue.Roads Policing - The Roads Policing team will be providing a high-visibility presence in the area to tackle any vehicle related issues that arise.If you are available tomorrow, please feel free to visit the Mobile Police Station and speak to the officers present, whether this is involving any concerns you have in the area, or just general questions regarding anything Policing.
