Mini Police Graduation

Year 5 children at Gamesley Primary School have successfully completed the Mini Police programme 🎊 👮

Mini Police is a fun and interactive weekly programme designed for children aged between nine and 11 that has been running for the whole school year. It introduces them to policing and responsible citizenship through interactive, educational activities.

On Friday 10th July,  Year 5 hosted a special assembly attended by family/friends to showcase what they have learnt across the last year as well as receiving certificates, badges and some children were selected for special awards. They were watched proudly by PC Twort and PCSO Turner and their awards were presented by High Peak A/Insp Repton.

Over the duration of the course the pupils covered topics including anti-social behaviour, bullying, internet and personal safety and road safety as well as visitors including the dog section, the fire service and the RNLI.
