I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Violent Crime, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. STATEMENT
Dyfed-Powys Police received a report from hospital staff at around 1:20am on Wednesday, 15 July, after a man arrived with serious injuries.
Officers quickly established details and attended an address on Brynmeurig, Carmarthen, where they suspected the man may have been assaulted.
A police presence remained at the property whilst an investigation was carried out to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s injuries.
A 35-yr-old man and a 30-yr-old woman, both from the Carmarthen area, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have been released on conditional bail. A 49-yr-old woman and a 40-yr-old man, from the Carmarthen and Ammanford area, were also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have both released with no further action.
The injured man has since been discharged from hospital and the investigation continues.
