A man has been charged with a series of offences following an incident at Rugeley Trent Valley railway station and an earlier assault in Leek.
Kieron Antony Walker, 27, of Hednesford, has been charged with two counts of assault by beating, one count of threats to kill, engaging in controlling / coercive behaviour, harassment without violence, threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place, three counts of criminal damage to property valued under £5000, one count of causing an obstruction of an engine / carriage using the railway and assault a constable in execution of duty.
It comes after we were called at 8.10am on Thursday 9 July to an address in Leek after a woman had been assaulted. Damage was also caused to the address.
We later received a report of a man on top of a storage container next to Rugeley Trent Valley railway station.
Walker appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday 11 July and has been bailed ahead of his next appearance at Stafford Crown Court on 10 August.
