Dear Residents

Community Burglary Awareness Message

We would like to make residents aware that there has been a recent increase in burglary offences within the local area.

Please be reassured that officers are actively and proactively investigating these incidents, carrying out enquiries, increasing patrol activity, and working to identify and apprehend those responsible.

We are asking all residents to remain vigilant and take steps to protect their homes and property:

Ensure all doors and windows are locked, even when you are at home.

Keep vehicle and house keys out of sight and away from doors and windows.

Use security lighting, alarms, CCTV, or video doorbells where possible.

Secure sheds, garages, and other outbuildings.

Avoid leaving valuables on display.

Report any suspicious activity, vehicles, or persons in your neighbourhood.

If you see anything suspicious, please report it to the police. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, call 999. For non-emergency matters, call 101 or report online.

Working together as a community is one of the most effective ways to prevent crime and keep our neighbourhoods safe.
