HENDON TRAINING FOR POLICE RECRUITMENT

Honoured to be invited to Hendon yesterday to support the training of new police recruits through a role-play exercise.

I played the role of a neighbour involved in a civil dispute, giving recruits a realistic opportunity to practise their skills, build confidence and learn from experience. The officers were professional, engaged and eager to learn.

With nearly 24 years in the Met, I was proud to share my knowledge and experience to help develop the next generation of officers.

My message to them was simple:

✅ More Trust
✅ Less Crime
✅ Higher Standards

If we achieve these three things, our communities will feel safer and more confident in policing.
