Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team - Weekly Update It’s been another busy (hot) week for the team. Here's a quick look at some of the work we've been doing to keep our community safe and connected 4x arrests made 1x positive stop search resulting in Class A drugs being located
1x vehicle seizure. Driver reported to Court due to having no licence and no insurance
1x e-scooter seized for having no insurance
Follow up visit made to an individual who has recently been adopted as a known ‘Knife Carrying Nominal’.
Joint visit with Aster Group to serve a Notice of Seeking Possession (NOSP) on one of their tenants who has repeatedly come to the attention of police for anti-social behaviour (ASB)
Joint visit with Abri Housing following a complaint of anti-social behaviour at one of their properties.
Proactive work completed with a property landlord to disrupt youth related ASB at a location in the town centre which has recently been identified by the team. Patrols will continue
Intelligence led hotspot foot patrols in the town centre and a number of villages, liaising with local residents and shop workers
Crime enquiries following a number of recently reported burglaries in the Weymouth area
Positive community engagement with use of the Mobile Police Station at Cornhill
