'Nottingham Knockers' |
||
|
We have recently received a small number of reports regarding individuals commonly referred to as "Nottingham Knockers" operating within the area.
These individuals typically go door-to-door selling household items such as cleaning products, often claiming to be taking part in rehabilitation programmes or attempting to support themselves following previous involvement in the criminal justice system. While not everyone selling door-to-door is acting unlawfully, residents should be aware that this activity can sometimes cause concern within communities and, on occasions, may be linked to distraction burglary or doorstep crime.
We would encourage residents to remain vigilant and consider the following crime prevention advice: If something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts and politely close the conversation.
If you witness any suspicious behaviour, feel intimidated, or believe a crime may be taking place, please report it to us via 101 or online through the police website. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, always call 999.
All the best, Jamie | ||
