Arson, SEATON |

Seaton Neighbourhood Team have been received a report following an incident of arson as Seaton Skate Park, The Underfleet on Monday 20th July 2026. It is believed that a fire has been started in the far corner of the skatepark causing the hedge to catch alight. It is not known whether this was caused intentionally or by recklessness but either way it still constitutes an offence.
You may be wondering, or considering writing a post, as to why the police are interested in damage to a bush. The Skate Park and adjoining play park are there for children to enjoy and feel safe in. They should not have to worry about people setting fire to things there. In addition, the destruction of the barrier between the park and the adjoining field have meant that cattle could have escaped into the park.
This mindless behaviour will not be tolerated by the police or the vast majority of residents in Seaton.
