Watford FC V FC Hansa Rostock this weekend

This weekend, Watford Football Club are hosting German team FC Hansa Rostock for a friendly fixture at Vicarage Road Stadium.

Police have been working with both clubs, local partners and licensed premises over the past few months to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

With the German visitors planning to bring more than 6,000 fans to celebrate their 60th anniversary, you will see an increased policing presence in the area on Saturday (25 July) and there may be some disruption in the area as fans make their way to and from the ground.

Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have been liaising with residents and businesses in the run up to the event, to pass on advice and information.

As is the case with any fixture, if you have any concerns during the event or witness anything suspicious, please do not hesitate to speak with officers or club staff. Always dial 999 in an emergency.
