OPERATION AVRO SPEED ENFORCEMENT |
||||||
|
Dear Residents,
As you may have seen in the local news, today is Operation AVRO Day across the Oldham district. Operation AVRO is dedicated to tackling the issues that matter most to our communities, focusing on concerns that have been raised directly by local residents. As part of today's activity, your local Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out speed enforcement operations in a number of areas that have been highlighted by the community as locations of concern.
📍 Palin Drive, Delph Our first stop was Palin Drive, where officers conducted speed enforcement following reports of vehicles exceeding the speed limit. A number of drivers were stopped and dealt with appropriately for speeding offences. Whilst in the area, officers also spoke with local residents who provided positive feedback and expressed their appreciation for the action being taken to address the issue.
📍 Lane Head Road, Lees We then moved to Lane Head Road, which has been identified by residents as an area requiring increased monitoring due to concerns around speeding vehicles and lorries travelling with insecure loads. Officers carried out patrols and enforcement activity to address these concerns and help improve road safety for everyone using the area.
📍 Oldham Road, Denshaw Our final speed enforcement location was Oldham Road, Denshaw. Officers conducted speed checks, helping to reduce vehicle speeds and improve driver compliance. Where offences were identified, drivers were stopped and dealt with accordingly, with the appropriate action and paperwork issued. Your concerns help shape our priorities, and we will continue to carry out speed enforcement operations across the area. If there are roads within your community where speeding is a concern, please let us know so that we can consider them for future enforcement activity.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement.
Kind regards, Your Local Neighbourhood Policing Team 🚔👮♂️👮♀️ | ||||||
