E-Scooter Seized in Ibstock

Earlier this evening officers on patrol on Leicester Road, Ibstock, have seized an e-scooter after it was found being used illegally on a public road.

E-scooters can only be used on private land with the landowner’s permission. They are not permitted for use on public roads, pavements, or cycle lanes unless they are part of an authorised rental scheme.

Using an e-scooter illegally can result in:
- Seizure of the vehicle
- Penalty points on your driving licence
- Fixed penalty notices
- Prosecution for offences including no insurance

Please ensure you understand the law before using an e-scooter.
