📍 Your Local Beat Officer Update – Gravesend 🚓 |
||
|
Yesterday, Gravesend CSU were out and about across the town, carrying out a range of activities to address concerns raised by residents and engage with the local community.
✅ Vehicle Seized Following concerns raised by local residents regarding a vehicle that was being dangerously parked, officers attended and carried out checks. Enquiries revealed the vehicle was untaxed, resulting in it being seized. Thank you to those who reported this issue. Information from the public helps us identify and deal with matters affecting our neighbourhoods.
✅ Community Surgery Held We also held a community surgery in Gravesend Town Centre. A community surgery is an opportunity for residents to speak directly with local officers about any concerns, ask questions, report issues, or simply find out what is happening in their area. Whether it's anti-social behaviour, crime prevention advice, road safety concerns or local policing priorities, we're here to listen. 🤝 We would encourage residents to attend future surgeries. They are a great way to meet your local policing team and ensure your concerns are heard.
✅ High Visibility Patrols Officers conducted high visibility patrols throughout Gravesend Town Centre, providing reassurance to residents, visitors and local businesses, whilst identifying and addressing issues affecting the area.
✅ PSPO Enforcement Officers carried out patrols to enforce the town centre Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). The PSPO covers issues including: 🍺 Street drinking Breaches of the PSPO can result in a £100 Fixed Penalty Notice being issued.
✅ Business Engagement Throughout the day, officers visited and engaged with local businesses, discussing concerns affecting them and offering advice and support where required. These conversations help us better understand local issues and work together to keep Gravesend a safe and welcoming place to live, work and visit.
Thank you to everyone who stopped to speak with us. We will continue to act on information provided by our communities and carry out patrols to address the issues that matter most to local residents. | ||
