Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update

Its been a busy,  proactive week for Poole NPT, concentrating on our hotspots and neighbourhood priorities.

On Wednesday, Poole NPT officers and PCSOs attended a report of indecent exposure in the #AshleyCross area. A male was detained matching the description and arrested under suspicion of indecent exposure. The investigation is ongoing and we ask members of the public not to speculate at this time.

On Thursday,  Poole NPT officers and PCSOs responded to an early morning report of a group using drugs in the #PooleTown area. After a brief area search the individuals were located, Stop Searched and issued with Section 35 Dispersal Notices. One of the individuals was also dealt with for a shoplifting offence and served a legal order in relation to another matter.

Also on Thursday whilst on foot patrol, PCSOs Matt and Mike sighted a wanted male that failed to attend court. Officers attended shortly after to make the arrest.

On Friday, PCSOs Sam and Kristine were conducting high visibility patrols in the Tower Park area due to a number of reports of antisocial behaviour. They were flagged down by one of the stores as a shoplifting had just occurred and a description of the offender had been passed. A quick area search and the individual was sighted nearby and detained. After some standard checks it was confirmed that they were wanted on Prison Recall. Our response colleagues attended to assist and transport the individual to custody.

🚨 Today, a sighting of a wanted male in the #Hamworthy area prompted a multi-department, immediate response. The individual made off from officers into a maze of gardens and a containment was put into place. Our dog unit deployed and the area was meticulously closed down until the suspect was detained and arrested. The male was wanted on a Prison Recall and also arrested under suspicion of a number of burglary's - collaboration at it's finest.

Throughout the rest of today,  a further 2 individuals were sighted and detained in the Poole Town area. One, wanted for a number of commercial burglaries in the #PooleTown area and the other was provided with a new court date for a low level offence.
