Oscott Neighbourhood update – 01/07/2026 until 23/07/2026

Welcome to this week’s crime and community update for the Oscott area. Our neighbourhood team remains committed to tackling key crime issues affecting residents, especially around domestic abuse, robbery, burglary, and vehicle crime. We also continue to engage with schools and local partners to provide early intervention and support.

🛑 Crime Updates

Burglary

Warren Road – Between 3pm on 18/07/2026 and 11am on 20/07/2026, persons unknown have approached property gained entry by unknown means. Once inside offenders have stolen car keys to a Nissan Qashqai. Offenders have exited and stole vehicle with keys.

Attempt Burglary:

Dyas Road – Between 1am and 1:30am on 07/07/2026, persons unknown have approached the property. Whilst occupant was inside, offenders have tried the front door handle to gain entry. Occupant has shouted and disturbed offenders. Lock has been snapped and damaged.

Vehicle Crime

Deer Park Drive - Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 3am and 4am on 03/07/2026, persons unknown approached secure, parked and unattended Range Rover. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means. Items stolen Beats earphones and loose change.

Elmbridge Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 8pm on 02/07/2026 and 8:23am on 03/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended MG vehicle. Offenders gained entry by unknown means and stole, wallet containing driving licence / bank cards.

Grindleford Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 7:30pm on 02/07/2026 and 10am on 03/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Vauxhall vehicle. Offenders have gained entry to vehicle by unknown means and stole 3 vapes.

Hawthorn Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 7am and 8am on 03/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford vehicle. Offenders gained entry to vehicle and stole it by unknown means.

College Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 6:21am and 7:57am on 10/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Transit Van. Offenders gained entry by unknown means and stole vehicle.

Anstey Road – Interference with a motor vehicle – At 3:25am on 11/07/2026, Officers were called to the location while 2 males were breaking into a van.

Moor Lane – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 9pm on 11/07/2026 and 10:30am on 12/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford transit van. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means.

Elmbridge Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 10:30pm on 17/07/2026 and 7:30am on 18/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Transit Van. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means.

Kings Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 11pm on 18/07/2026 and 1:10am on 19/07/2026, persons unknown approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Transit Van. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means.

Lingfield Avenue – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 11:30pm on 18/07/2026 and 2:15pm on 19/07/2026, persons unknown approached secure, parked and unattended Audi A4. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means.

Shady Lane – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 22:41pm on 23/07/2026 and 8am on 24/07/2026, persons unknown approached secure, parked and unattended Suzuki vehicle. Offenders have removed and stole front/rear number plate.

03/07/2026 – Discussing Anti – social behaviour with Year 6 at Glenmead Primary School.

14/07/2026 – Officers speaking to Businesses about Operation Makesafe. Operation Makesafe is a national campaign to raise awareness of child exploitation in the business industry.
