Anti Social Behaviour Update

Here’s a quick update on anti-social behaviour locally. We know it can be distressing, but we’re working closely with partners to make the area safer and support residents. 
 

On Friday 24th July 2026, PC Meyer attended Bromley Magistrates' Court to obtain an extension of a closure order on an address in the Firhill Road area. The extension of the order was granted for a further three months. This extension is intended to maintain the reduction in anti-social behaviour and criminality that was occurring at the location prior to the original closure order being implemented. Due to the vulnerability of the resident, the resident is being supported by the relevant support services to try and get the person in to supported living to best protect her from criminality as well. Police work closely with our partner agencies to bring long-term solutions to the problems that occur in the area; please keep reporting issues to us so that we can assist in solving them.

On another note, police issued a female with a Community Protection Notice due to drug-related anti-social behaviour in the Sedgehill area; if this is not complied with then this person can be arrested and charged for the breach. This female also has a civil injunction against her for similar behaviour with a power of arrest attached if breached that the local housing authority applied for in partnership with the police. It is hoped that this person will now leave the area to reduce the risk of drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour in the area. This is part of our longer-term strategy with other addresses and people in the area to reduce the issues in this area. Again, please keep reporting any issues as we have very good working relationships with our partner agencies to try and solve the issues in the area.

Across London we’ve put hundreds more officers on the frontlines of community crime-fighting teams, upping visible patrols in the right ‘hot spots’ so we can deter and catch criminals - including with new tech like live facial recognition cameras, drones and e-bikes.
