This is the latest good story for Churchfields Ward.

Community Engagement at Local Church - St. Mary's South Woodford, Memorial Hall

SNT Churchfields team attended a community engagement event at the local church ST. Mary's memorial hall, providing an opportunity to speak with residents, listen to concerns, and strengthen relationships within the community.

It was encouraging to engage with people of all ages in a welcoming environment, discuss local policing matters, and offer crime prevention advice and useful leaflets.

A special thank you goes to the dedicated volunteers who gave their time and expertise to support the local community by repairing and refurbishing household items, including electronic devices. 

Their efforts  promote sustainability and community spirit.

We would like to thank the church, volunteers, and everyone who took the time to speak with us. 

Building trust and maintaining strong community partnerships remains a key part of keeping our neighbourhood safe.

Community Engagement at Elmhurst Gardens Fun Fair - Organised by Maybank Community Association

Neighbourhood officers from SNT Churchfields including our new Sergeant with extensive Emergency Response background were pleased to attend the local fun fair, engaging with children and their families, residents, and visitors throughout the event. 

The atmosphere was positive and welcoming, providing a great opportunity to meet members of the community, offer reassurance, and discuss local issues in an informal setting.

The children and their parents loved sitting in our Police van, taking photos with our hats on!

During the event, officers and members of the public also had the pleasure of meeting the Mayor of the London Borough of Redbridge, highlighting the importance of partnership working between local policing, community leaders, and residents in supporting a safer and stronger borough.

We would like to thank the organisers, volunteers, and all those who attended for their warm welcome and positive engagement throughout the day.

Events such as these play a vital role in bringing communities together, fostering trust, and reinforcing our commitment to visible, accessible, and community-focused policing. 

We look forward to continuing to work closely with our residents and partners to keep our neighbourhoods safe and connected.
