Here’s a quick update on anti-social behaviour locally. We know it can be distressing, but we’re working closely with partners to make the area safer and support residents. Thank you for your attendance at St Marys Neighbourhood Centre. As always the feedback given to myself and my colleagues is extremely appreciated and we are grateful to everyone for taking time out from your day to discuss local issues. We as a team will always do our best to listen, take on board the feedback and turn it into positive action so that we can bring something positive back to the next meeting. We covered a few issues in the meeting which I’ll detail below. Our next ward panel meeting dates are: Tue 20th October 2026 – 1800 hours Wed 27th January 2027 – 1800 hours We discussed: • ASB along the canal path near Arlington Avenue and Baring Street including bicycle ASB • Drugs supply and ASB – Astey’s Row, Dibden Street, Dibden Street Triangle Gardens • More joint work with council officers and park guard officers to create a more visible presence. • Theft / shoplifting – Angel / Upper Street Additionally, as a group we agreed that the ward priorities for the next three months should be kept the same, however having another look at the reports, there will a slight change Proposed ward priorities for the next 3 months 1) Shoplifting – Angel / Upper Street 2) ASB including bicycles – Canal pathway near Arlington Avenue and New North Road 3) Drug supply and ASB – Astey’s Row, Dibden Street and Dibden Street Triangle Gardens Additionally I have included some phone numbers which some of you may find useful : • Crimestoppers: 0800 555 111. This is an independent charity that allows you to report a crime or give information anonymously, 24/7. • Child line: 0800 1111. This is a service for children and young people who are worried about their own safety or someone else's, 24/7. • Victim Support: 08 08 16 89 111. This is a service that offers practical and emotional support to victims of crime, 24/7 The council ASB website highlights exactly what constitutes ASB and when a crime has taken place. It also includes methods on how to report ASB to the council. You can use the Met Police website to report any crime online. This can be used to report any crimes that are not an emergency and would not require you dialling 999. Alternatively you can also call 101. Please ensure if it is an emergency or there is any risk to life you call 999. Again – thank-you all for coming, we as a team really appreciate your time and feedback at these meetings. If there is anything anyone wants to discuss further please email my team and I and we will do our best to respond to each email as soon as possible. Our ward email address is: StMarysStJames.SNT@met.police.uk However as our emails are not monitored constantly please DO NOT report crime to our emails. If you have an emergency please call 999 and non emergency please call 101
Across London we’ve put hundreds more officers on the frontlines of community crime-fighting teams, upping visible patrols in the right ‘hot spots’ so we can deter and catch criminals - including with new tech like live facial recognition cameras, drones and e-bikes. Antisocial behaviour can come in many forms and can require support from more organisations than just the police. A full list of what we categorise as antisocial behaviour is available on our website. If you have experienced anti-social behaviour or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org Please consider getting involved by registering for these messages, this will enable you to contribute to the local priority survey. We may be unaware of issues that you would like us to focus on.
