Community Update | Harpurhey Neighbourhood Team

The Harpurhey Neighbourhood Team has been made aware of a video circulating on social media showing a male in a park who was allegedly harming animals.

Following enquiries, officers have today arrested a male in connection with this matter. He is currently in police custody , where he will be questioned by officers as part of the ongoing investigation.

We would like to thank members of the community and witnesses who have come forward with information and supported our investigation. Your assistance has been invaluable in helping us respond swiftly.

We would also like to reassure residents that there is no wider threat to the public in relation to this incident.

As enquiries continue, we would ask the community to refrain from speculation or sharing unverified information online. Speculation can negatively impact ongoing investigations and cause unnecessary concern within the community.
