☀️ Summer Holidays Have Begun – Let's Keep Our Communities Safe ☀️ With the summer holidays now underway, many children and young people will be spending more time outdoors enjoying the warmer weather and longer days. As your local neighbourhood policing team, we'd like to remind everyone how we can work together to keep our communities safe, friendly, and enjoyable for all. 👧 Keeping Children Safe Parents and carers should know where their children are and who they are spending time with.Encourage children to stay with friends, tell someone where they are going, and carry a mobile phone where possible.Remind young people about road safety when cycling, scootering, or crossing roads.Take care around rivers, canals, lakes, and reservoirs, and never enter water that is not designated for swimming.🏡 Being Respectful Neighbours We understand that children will want to play outside and enjoy their holidays, but please remember to be considerate of those living nearby.Avoid nuisance behaviour such as knocking on doors and running away, excessive noise, damaging property, or littering.Respect public spaces and help keep parks, streets, and play areas clean and welcoming.🤝 Getting Along in Our Community A friendly neighbourhood is a safer neighbourhood. Take the opportunity to say hello to neighbours and look out for those who may be vulnerable. If issues arise, try to resolve them through respectful conversation where appropriate.Small acts of kindness and consideration can make a big difference to community relationships.Let's work together to ensure the summer holidays are safe, enjoyable, and positive for everyone. Thank you for helping to make our neighbourhoods welcoming and respectful places to live, work, and play. Your Local Neighbourhood Policing Team 🚓☀️🏡 Kind Regards PCSO Haider |
