Dear resident,
Following enforcement action by Northcote Safer Neighbourhood Officers, a male was recently arrested for failing to comply with the conditions of a Community Protection Notice (CPN).
A CPN is designed to tackle persistent anti-social behaviour that has a negative impact on the local community. Before a CPN is issued, the individual is normally given a written warning and the opportunity to change their behaviour. The notice can require a person to: ✅ Stop behaviour causing problems Failure to comply with a CPN is a criminal offence and may result in enforcement action, including fixed penalty notices (fines), prosecution through courts and arrests where appropriate, particularly if offences continue or other circumstances justify it.
