Arrest made and Community Protection Warning issued, following complaints from local residents |
||
|
Dear Residents,
Following complaints from local residents around ASB and groups loitering on Ealing Common and North Common Road in the grass area, Sergeant Love and PC Young have been patrolling the area frequently.
Yesterday evening, Sergeant Love and PC Young encountered a group loitering in the grass area between North Common Road and Uxbridge Road, W5. As they approached, two of the group made off and were detained. One male was arrested for breaching their Criminal Behaviour Order and will likely receive a custodial sentence. They have been found in breach of the order 5 times over the last year and the Courts do not take this behaviour likely. This suspect will be attending Uxbridge Magistrates Court today.
The other Suspect detained was issued a Community Resolution for Possession of Cannabis and also given a Community Protection Warning advising him of his behaviour on our ward.
I will keep you updated with the outcome shortly, please continue to report Anti-Social behaviour to us and we will work to tackle it head on.
For context - A Community Protection Warning is issued advising a person of their behaviour and requires them to make improvements to their behaviour. If the behaviour continues, a Community Protection Notice can be issued with set conditions and also carries a power of Arrest. Following breaches of Community Protection Notices, the Courts can issue a Criminal Behaviour order - as is the case with the first person arrested above.
Hope you are all doing well in this most current heatwave !
Kind Regards | ||
