Street Briefing – Becontree Ward

Becontree Ward Officers carried out a street briefing alongside the Mosque Chair, Councillor Mohammed Saleem, and Councillor Edna Fargues.

During the engagement, officers conducted a comprehensive walk-and-talk covering Green Lane businesses and areas affected by fly-tipping across Becontree. Inspections were carried out to identify environmental concerns and discuss ongoing issues raised by the community.

The team also undertook door-to-door engagement with local residents, providing greetings and gathering valuable feedback regarding neighbourhood concerns, safety, and environmental matters. Residents were encouraged to share their views and suggestions, and all feedback was noted for further consideration.

Engagement contact details were provided to residents and business owners to strengthen communication and ensure continued collaboration between the community, local councillors, and ward officers. The event was well received and provided an excellent opportunity to build relationships, address concerns, and promote a cleaner and safer Becontree community.
