Drink Driver Arrested Carnforth Wednesday 29th July 2026

This afternoon a sharp eyed' member of the community saw a male slumped over the wheel on Market Street, Carnforth and suspecting he was drunk, phoned the police on 999. Police attended and breathalysed the driver who failed the road side breath test and was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. 

He has been taken to Lancaster Custody where he awaits sobering up to be interviewed. 

No doubt this male would have put lives at risk and the roads are a safer place for it. If you see anyone you think is drunk and is driving or is leaving pubs after drinking alcohol, phone us on 999 and help us put a stop to these individuals risking our friends and families lives!

The males vehicle was also seized under OP REVOKE.
