🚔 Operation Eagle Eye | Arrest Following Dangerous E-Bike Pursuit

Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Operation Eagle Eye have arrested a male following an incident involving the dangerous use of an e-bike in North Manchester.

At approximately 8:40pm, the police observed an e-bike being ridden dangerously, weaving through traffic and posing a significant risk to other road users and pedestrians. Despite attempts by officers to stop the rider, he failed to stop for police and made off from the area.

Officers tracked the rider, where he continued to ride dangerously and narrowly avoided colliding with a police vehicle.

When officers attempted to speak with the rider, he tried to evade police, falling from the bike and subsequently resisting arrest. During the incident, an officer was assaulted and kicked while carrying out their duties.

The male was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs and assaulting an emergency worker. A search following his arrest resulted in the recovery of a suspected burner phone, and further enquiries linked him to suspected drug-dealing activity in the local area.

Subsequent searches at an associated address led to the recovery of a large quantity of suspected cannabis.
