Monthly Community Update from Sgt 96 Ian Roach – July 2026

I hope this message finds you well. As we move through July to August, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving. 

🔍 Local Priorities  

Our current focus areas include:  

. Shoplifting – Targeting our most frequently hit stores. 

. Anti-social behaviour remains a priority concern for our local communities and will    remain a main priority especially with school summer holidays approaching. 

.  Drug dealing and drug related activity. 

. Signing local residents on to Connects. 

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas looking to add additional staffing throughout the summer months and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise. If you see us out and about please do not hesitate to come and have a chat.

🗞️ Round-Up from Carmarthen 

Here’s a snapshot of key updates across our community 

. Reassurance visits and a presence in Llangunnor and AC town regarding  

A serious police incident.  

.  DP Connects visits have been carried out in various locations to promote the Connects        Service – Priory Street, Parc Thomas, Cildewi Park, Plas Y Ddol, Heol Drindod, Little Water Street, Morfa Lane, Llansteffan Road 

. Op Bridger engagements carried out fortnightly 

. Assistance with Fatal RTC 28th July. We will be in the area carrying out reassurance patrols.
