Hello Beckton, I hope you’re all enjoying the summer sun! Let’s dive straight in to see how hot the streets of Beckton got this week. Assault 25/07/2026: A person was punched following a claim that a motorbike struck a car while parking outside Halfords. The suspect was arrested.25/07/2026: A parking dispute between neighbours in Linton Gardens resulted in a resident's foot being run over.27/07/2026: A 14-year-old was punched on a bus by a 60-year-old. The motive behind the assault is currently unclear, though they were not strangers to each other. The investigation is ongoing.Public Order 27/07/2026: A customer at B&Q became aggressive over a receipt dispute and began shouting racially aggravated abuse.Criminal Damage 26/07/2026: An argument in Iceland between a staff member and a customer over a reusable bag resulted in store goods being damaged.Theft 23/07/2026: We received a call stating that a mobile phone was stolen from a resident's sister in Armada Way. We have limited information at this stage, but we suspect this was a phone snatch.23/07/2026: A distraction theft occurred at the Asda cash machines. The suspect observed the elderly victim entering her PIN, then distracted her by waving paper in front of her face. He managed to grab her card and later withdrew £200 from her account.25/07/2026: An officer accidentally left their phone on the roof of a police car before rushing off to an emergency call. The phone was missing from where it fell. It was tracked to a Deliveroo driver, who is now being prosecuted for theft by finding.28/07/2026: Theft of a parcel was reported in Mahindra Way.Theft of Motor Vehicle 26/07/2026: A Nissan X-Trail was stolen overnight from Basing Close. That is everything for this week. As you can see, we had a high number of offences involving people losing their cool in the heat. Please try to take a breath if you find yourself in a minor disagreement—trivial arguments can escalate incredibly quickly. If you’re off on your holidays, we are happy to keep an eye on your place. It wont be 24hour security but we can give your house or flat some special attention as we pass by on our patrols.
