Longford Weekly Update

Dear Residents and Local Businesses,

Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with: 

PATROLS

Our officers have been carrying out high visible patrols across the area, paying particular attention to areas that have been reported to have had a recent increase in crime or anti-social behaviour. 

BURGLARY

A residential burglary was reported on Tallants Road on 22nd July between the hours of 08:40am and 09:05am. 

Another residential burglary was reported on Rafferty Adams Way on 29th July at 05:18am.

VEHICLE CRIME

A theft from vehicle was reported on Honeysuckle Drive overnight 21st-22nd July. 

A theft from vehicle was reported on Edgar Road near to the junction of Purcell Road, overnight 23rd – 24th July. 

A theft from vehicle was reported on Tallants Road overnight 28th-29th July. 

A theft of vehicle was reported on Ainsdale Close overnight 24th-25th July. 

A theft from vehicle was reported from CBS Arena car park on Judds Lane overnight 29th-30th July.

ARRESTS

Four people were arrested by officers on our team. 

One person was arrested for stealing from shops and was also further arrested for failing to appear at court for previous thefts from shops.

Two people were arrested for affray. 

Another person was arrested for sexual offences. 

STREETWATCH & COMMUNITY SPEEDWATCH

We have now set up a Streetwatch in the Little Heath area of Longford. We are always looking for more volunteers to get involved within the Longford and Bell Green areas.

CUPPA WITH A COPPA

We have arranged a Cuppa with a Coppa at Bell Green Library, Park Edge Family Hub, Roseberry Avenue, Bell Green, Coventry CV2 1NE 

on 6th August 2026, 17:00 – 18:00 hours.
