Community Update – Cricklewood Ward

Dear Resident,

Over recent months, we have strengthened our partnership working with local organisations and agencies to tackle community concerns together, particularly around anti-social behaviour (ASB).

Following discussions with the manager of the food stalls on Cricklewood Lane, arrangements have been made for security staff to be present to help prevent street drinking and associated ASB. We are supporting this initiative through regular patrols, engagement, and enforcement where appropriate, including issuing ASB warnings and disrupting ongoing issues.

We have also increased our engagement with local schools, carrying out more school visits and working with partners on plans to address ASB during the summer holidays, particularly in our parks and open spaces.

Throughout the summer, officers have been attending community events in local parks, speaking with parents and residents about ASB concerns, personal responsibility, and how we can all play a part in keeping our neighbourhoods safe. 

High-visibility patrols continue across the ward, particularly in hotspot locations. We have also continued carrying out stop and searches where legal grounds exist, resulting in positive outcomes, including Community Resolutions and valuable intelligence.

We are aware of community concerns regarding the recent stabbing incidents in Cricklewood. We can confirm that the suspects have been identified and charged for their offences. While we are unable to discuss further details due to ongoing legal proceedings, we hope this provides some reassurance to residents.
