NL59 Beat Team Newsletter July
Welcome to my monthly update for the residents and communities of the NL59 Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA). This newsletter will be circulated on a regular basis and will provide an insight into what is happening at the NPA.
– PCSO 6031 DASH
There has been a slight increase in theft from motor vehicles within the NL59 area towards the end of 2025. The beat team will be looking to reduce these with the use of high visibility patrols in targeted areas. We will look to liaise with the community in those affected areas to provide crime prevention advice and discuss security measures.
We will work closely with partner agencies to address reports of anti-social behaviour within the village and local parks. Individuals identified as being involved will be dealt with using a graduated approach, beginning with engagement and warnings where appropriate. Officers will carry out increased patrols in the area, with a focus on identifying offenders and taking positive action, including the seizure of bicycles where they are being used in connection with ASB. Additional evening patrols and targeted deployment of the ASB vehicle will be undertaken to disrupt offending and deter those responsible. Warning letters along with upcoming Operations have been issued and organised by the beat team to tackle this.
We will conduct high-visibility patrols in identified hotspot locations to deter offenders and provide reassurance to the community. Officers will engage with victims and local residents to offer crime prevention advice and discuss appropriate security measures. Working alongside partner agencies and community groups, we will identify vulnerabilities and promote measures to improve home security. Targeted enquiries and intelligence-led activity will be carried out to identify suspects and disrupt burglary-related offending.
