'Let's Move Hyndburn' in Mercer Park, Clayton-le-Moors

Dear Resident,

It was great to attend the 'Let's Move Hyndburn' event in Mercer Park, Clayton-le-Moors on Friday 31st July 2026. It was wonderful to see so many people attending and it was great to engage with many residents. The intention of Let's Move Hyndburn events is to promote an increase in physical activity in a way that feels achievable and enjoyable.

As a Neighbourhood Policing Team we took part in bike marking on the National Bike Register. If anyone else wants their bicycle marking please reply to this message and we will organise a time where we can do this. We will also be at the two other ‘Let’s Move Hyndburn' events at Milnshaw Park, Church and Lowerfold Park, Great Harwood.

It was great to partner with:

Go Velo's Smoothie Bike, Dr Bike, bike checks and Try-a-Bike activities

Lancashire County Council Youth Services Climbing Wall, Youth Information Bus, fun games and recycling station

Accrington Stanley Community Trust football activities, including an inflatable penalty shootout

Mercer Park Bowling Club taster sessions

Lancashire Cricket Foundation cricket activities

LCC Neighbourly Team information and family activities

Eleve Dance Studio taster workshops

England Netball activities

Clayton Prospects Panel wood decoration crafts

Hyndburn Leisure Super Gymnastics taster sessions, wellbeing support information and smoking cessation advice

PCN Health & Wellbeing Coaches providing information on support available through local GP practices

Super Slowway activities among other activities.
