🔥 Deliberate fire-setting is not harmless fun. 🔥
We have received reports of young people deliberately starting fires in the Eastfield area. These incidents can quickly escalate, causing significant damage and risking serious injury to members of the public and emergency services. Fire-setting is not a game. Those responsible may face police involvement and criminal sanctions. Starting fires in fields, parks, woodlands, or around buildings can quickly get out of control, putting lives, wildlife, and property at risk.
The above image was taken recently on the Dell in Eastfield; a fire deliberately started by youths, attended by police and fire. Thankfully, due to the vigilance of local people, this was reported and dealt with swiftly. It is clear to see how close this is to people's homes and how serious the outcome could have been if this fire had spread.
What may seem like a joke or a challenge can lead to: • Serious injuries or loss of life.
Parents and carers are encouraged to speak with young people about the dangers and consequences of setting fires. If you see suspicious activity, please report it.
Let's work together to prevent needless harm and keep our communities safe. 🔥🚒🚓 | ||
