|
Five men arrested on suspicion of rape in Ipswich have been released under investigation.
The victim, a woman aged in her 30s, reported to officers that she had been raped in the early hours of Sunday morning, 2 August, within an address on Curriers Lane.
She has been assisting police with their enquiries and continues to be supported by specialist trained officers.
Five men, aged 27, 31, 35, 44 and 49, were arrested yesterday in connection with the incident and taken into police custody for questioning. They have now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
A police investigation remains ongoing, and officers continue to conduct enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
