Humberston & New Waltham Crime Data: July 2026

Dear residents, please find crime data update for July 2026- I want to share that last month across the wards saw a slight seasonal increase in crime but still remains low in the area which could not of been achieved without all the work of you the community, our partners and the local policing team do on a daily basis. 

Crime Headlines:
There were fifty-three reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Wards for July 2026, this is comparable and matched to data in July 2025. 

On 1st July 2026, keys to a vehicle were stolen from inside a property on ALBERY WAY, NEW WALTHAM during a burglary. The investigation is ongoing and enquiries are ongoing to ID involved persons, if you have any information, please call 101 and quote reference 26*90855. 

On 2nd July 2026, keys to a vehicle were stolen from inside a property on BRISTOL AVENUE, NEW WALTHAM during a burglary. The vehicle has since been recovered and the investigation is ongoing and enquiries are ongoing to ID involved persons, if you have any information, please call 101 and quote reference 26*91471.

On 5th July 2026, a pedal cycle was stolen from, GREEN LANE, HUMBERSTON. If you have any information that could assist police with further enquiries, please call 101 and quote reference 26*98092. 

Our priorities moving forward in July/August 2026 period will be focusing on Anti-Social Behaviour, Burglary and other Community related issues.  

Crime:                                                                                                                       
Eleven reports of low-level assaults.                                                                                                                           
Eight reports of Harassment.                                                                                                         
Five reports Criminal Damage. 
Three reports of vehicle related offences. 
Eight reported shop thefts from Tesco / Co-Op / Spar in New Waltham & Humberston.
Six reports of Burglary.                                                                                                      

ASB:
There have been eleven reports of ASB incidents across both villages:
Two reports of vehicle related ASB across HUMBERSTON & NEW WALTHAM
One report of street drinking ASB in HUMBERSTON
One report of ASB on HUMBERSTON FITTIES. 
Four reports of ASB at the Park on CLUBHOUSE WAY, HUMBERSTON
Three reports of neighbour related ASB in NEW WALTHAM/HUMBERSTON.
Team News/Updates:
Following the update provided in April there will be a slight change to the team this month. PC 2942 PRIOR will be leaving his NPT role in the next couple of weeks but not the area, as he moves to Op Yellowfin Team which is a team focused on ASB Motorbikes and ASB use of Roads by such vehicles and responding to concerns raised by the community. If you have any information or reports of this nature, please quote this reference/officer: Op Yellowfin.
