PCC launches public survey on Government's proposed police reforms

Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Wilkinson has launched a public survey to gather views on the Government's proposed policing reforms, including potential police force mergers, changes to local policing governance, and the future of neighbourhood policing.

While some proposals aim to improve efficiency, consistency and specialist capabilities, there are important questions about how larger regional police forces could affect local accountability, police visibility, community engagement and the ability to respond to local priorities.
