Police update and PACT meetings |
||
|
Good afternoon, everyone, due to not having a PACT meeting this month I will post a quick update via ITK. This month has been a little busier than recent months, but this was to be expected due to the summer months arriving.
The main concerns for this past month have been burglaries and nuisance. Burglaries have begun to become more frequent across Ingol, Tanterton, Cottam and Wychnor. I am seeing similar circumstances when arriving for revisits on these addresses and it is usually doors and windows being unlocked allowing easy access for these criminals. It is important that we are more vigilant and careful to not allow these opportunists the chance to burgle your homes. If anyone has CCTV regarding potential burglars, please call via 101 or make an online report. Nuisance has seen a rise in reports from 3 to 9 this past month. This is a general term so could include motorcycle nuisance, e-bike nuisance, kids messing around. The positive for this, despite the increase in number, has been none of these events appear to be targeted and linked and all seem to be isolated incidents. A big positive for this month has been a decrease in thefts. This month, as a neighbourhood team, we have used more targeted patrols around our shops and have been entering our shops more frequently showing presence and checking in on our shop’s owners. This has shown a decrease of incidents from 6 to 3 in this last month and hopefully this trend continues to do so.
An update on how PACT meetings are going to happen moving forward. Today was meant to be our usual PACT meeting but this isn’t occurring due to a few members having time-off and holidays. Therefore, if anyone had anything to raise at PACT this evening, please instead drop me an email which will be at the bottom of this update. Next month will be as normal and will be the first Wednesday of the month however, starting from October, PACT meetings will be every second Tuesday of the month. Next 4 PACT meetings: If any of these dates change, I will post another message updating everyone. The only caveat for these meetings changing to a Tuesday will potentially mean sometimes Police presence may not be there due to shift patterns but if this is the case a Police report will be sent over to our councillors who will deliver the report on our behalf.
Thankyou everyone for taking the time to read this update and I hope to see you all at next months PACT meeting. Kind Regards, PCSO 7498 Joseph JAMIESON-STREET and PC 3579 Jenny COUPE. Email: 7498@lancashire.police.uk | ||
