Good Afternoon Resident Today, Abbots Neighbourhood Policing Team attended a multi-agency meeting alongside Three Rivers District Council (TRDC), Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) and the landowner to review progress and agree further action to address ongoing concerns in the area. Update on Agreed Actions: It has been agreed that two new kissing gates will be installed:- One at the East Lane entrance.
- A second gate at another agreed access point.
Police patrols continue to take place in the area and will remain part of our ongoing response.TRDC and Hertfordshire Police are exploring the redeployment of CCTV to the Jacketts Field end of the road to provide coverage of the area where the fence remains damaged.Ownership of the broken fence has still not been confirmed, and enquiries are continuing to establish responsibility for repairs. The landowner has now target hardened the farm gates and entrances to help prevent unauthorised access.A missing gate in the Mallard Road alleyway area has been reported and Hertfordshire Highways will be investigating. At Redwing Grove, part of a gate is missing. This issue has also been referred to Hertfordshire Highways for assessment and action. We are hopeful that all of these actions will be completed by mid to late August, and we will continue to work closely with our partners to improve the area and address residents' concerns. Thank you for your continued support and for reporting issues to us. We will provide further updates as progress is made. |
