Uniformed Services Day 2026: A Celebration of Service, Community and Charity

On 25 July 2026, Bexleyheath Town Centre was filled with pride, joy and an incredible spirit of community. Uniformed Services Day 2026 exceeded all expectations, drawing thousands of residents, families and supporters together to recognise and celebrate the dedication, bravery and commitment of our military, police, fire and ambulance services.

Organised through a collaborative effort between The Welling Town Business Associates and Barry Saunders, the event showcased the very best of community partnership. From the electrifying truck pulls and live demonstrations to the charity stalls and family activities, every aspect of the day was made possible through the generosity and hard work of volunteers, sponsors and attendees.

Bexley Safer Neighbourhood Teams, alongside officers from across the South East BCU, were proud to attend and play an active role in the event. Officers took part in the charity truck pull, helping to raise vital funds while pulling a truck from Welling to Bexleyheath Broadway in a remarkable display of teamwork, determination and support for local causes.

Thanks to the incredible support from everyone involved, vital funds were raised for disabled children, breast cancer awareness and a number of other worthy charities. The event not only celebrated those who serve our communities every day but also highlighted the power of people coming together to make a real difference.
