ARREST - KEMPSFORD GARDENS, SW5

Dear Residents,

We would like to thank the residents of Kempsford Gardens, SW5, who contacted police via 999 at 23:58 hrs on Tuesday 4 August 2026 to report a suspect attempting to cut the lock off a bicycle and steal it.

Thanks to the prompt reporting and the detailed information provided, officers attended and arrested the suspect at the scene on suspicion of going equipped to steal and handling stolen goods.

The suspect was subsequently taken into custody, where further enquiries led to the discovery of additional items connected to other suspected criminal activity.

Your quick actions and cooperation played a significant role in preventing crime and helping to keep Earl's Court safe.
