🚔 Local Engagement with Businesses 🚔 |
||
|
Today, your local beat officers spent time engaging with local shop owners and staff regarding ongoing concerns around shoplifting and nuisance behaviour involving bikes in the area.
Discussions focused on recent incidents, crime prevention advice, reporting methods, and the importance of providing descriptions, CCTV footage and other evidence where available. Businesses were encouraged to continue reporting offences and suspicious behaviour so that we can build an accurate intelligence picture and take appropriate action.
Patrols will continue in identified hotspot locations to deter offenders, provide reassurance to businesses, and address reports of nuisance bikes causing anti-social behaviour within the town centre.
If you witness a crime in progress or an emergency, always call 999. To report non-emergency crime, anti-social behaviour, shoplifting, or information about nuisance bikes, please contact Kent Police on 101, report online via the Kent Police website, or provide information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Thank you to all the businesses who took the time to speak with me today and for their continued support in helping keep our community safe.
