POLICE PRESENCE DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS

Residents, 

The Farnworth neighbourhood team would like to reach out to you as we are now well within the summer months. 

We have listened to the communities concerns around potential increases in anti-social behaviour and violent crime during this summer period and appreciate the worries the residents have. 

We would like to reassure you that while the summer months and the school holidays do come with there challenges; your local neighbourhood team have been prepared for this and under the Safe 4 Summer initiative we feel confident that our increased police presence in the town centre and surrounding areas will ensure the local community remains safe and heavily policed. 

You will see your local officers on their beats and they will be carrying out several proactive and preventative operations over the coming months to ensure the safety of the community and prevention of crime which effects you most as our residents. 

We would like to remind you that we rely heavily on engagement from the public and encourage that you continue to report all incidents to the police using the most appropriate channels.
