Our Priorities

What’s Been Happening?

This week we have attended Deelands Hall for a community session within Birmingham Community Boxing Club summer holiday club. We gave a talk to the children about the role of a PCSO and how we work within the community. We had brought along the Police Van with us which was a big hit, sitting in the cell at the back and of course activating the lights and sirens. 

We held our PCSO Meets The Community at Arden Road where we discussed the issue of the off-road bikes on the Rubery Park Open Space. We are communicating with Birmingham Council to add improved restrictions to the entrances so that only pedestrian access is possible. 

We have patrolled Arden Road and around the Coldstream Pub as we were aware of youths climbing on the roof and accessing the building through open areas of the boarding up which had been deliberately caused. We made contact with Birmingham City Council and the damaged areas were re-secured and access to the building has been prevented.

We have been patrolling our local supermarkets to deter anti-social behaviour from youths and engage with security staff to provide support where we can.

Good News

A prolific shoplifter was arrested by our neighbourhood officer this week after failing to appear for her scheduled court date. Great result for the team.
