It is with great sadness that we say a final farewell to David Saul who passed away earlier this week.
David was a vital community representative for Cubbington. For 43 years (1983-2026) he was a proactive parish councillor. David often helped out at community events, such as Cubbington Fun Day and the Christmas lights switch-on. David was passionate about supporting future generations. He gave his time to be a school governor at Cubbington CofE Primary School and most recently, gave up his Friday evenings to volunteer at Cubbington Youth Club.
Most importantly, David was a kind and caring man, who went out of his way to help his neighbours and the wider Cubbington community.
David was a keen advocate of neighbourhood policing. Over the years, he assisted the local SNT with community engagement, letting us know what matters and informing us of any issues. David always asked what we could do together to solve a problem. He understood that every person shares a basic responsibility to keep communities safe and respect the law. Something that David embodied in his words and actions.
