🔥 Help Prevent Wildfires in the Peak District 🔥

With the warm weather continuing, Staffordshire Police are reminding residents and visitors that, to reduce the risk of wildfires, BBQs, campfires, fireworks, Chinese lanterns, and any items involving a naked flame are prohibited anywhere within the Peak District.

The dry conditions mean that even the smallest spark can quickly develop into a serious wildfire, threatening lives, wildlife, property and the natural environment.

Officers will be carrying out patrols and paying particular attention to areas popular with visitors. Anyone found breaching these restrictions may be subject to enforcement action and could receive a fine.

Please help protect our countryside by:

✅ Leaving BBQs and camping stoves at home
✅ Not lighting campfires or any open flames
✅ Not using fireworks or Chinese lanterns
✅ Disposing of cigarettes and litter responsibly
✅ Reporting any signs of fire immediately by calling 999
